Isabel Gutierrez is the founder and CEO of Vistendo Inc., a digital health startup with a mission to end human suffering, starting with youth athletes. Drawing from her firsthand experiences, both as a former soccer player and a certified first responder, Isabel recognized the dire consequences of untreated sports injuries. While still in college, she founded Vistendo Inc. to create solutions that identify early warning signs of sports injuries and illnesses. Having assembled a world-class team hailing from institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Caltech, Berkeley, and Stanford, Vistendo Inc. is developing a medical device, App, and artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to gather and interpret vast volumes of mental, emotional, and physical data. Isabel has served as the Principal Investigator for four clinical research grants and a clinical study in collaborations with the US Defense Health Agency, US Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and the US Department of Air Force. As a result of her accomplishments, she has become one of the youngest Distinguished Alumni of the Cal State Universities, selected as the Bronco Rising Star and CPP Prominent Women by Cal Poly Pomona (where she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering), recognized for her outstanding service for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30. Beyond her professional achievements, Isabel is a mentor for university students, volunteer elementary school teacher, member of Beach City Sports co-ed flag football teams, member of Classic Kickboxing, certified first responder at soccer camps, and an advocate for women and minority participation in STEM and entrepreneurship.
