Reynita Alcisto has been an audiologist for over 16 years. She has gained experience in various areas of Audiology including diagnostic hearing evaluations, vestibular evaluations, hearing aid fitting and cochlear implant mapping. Dr. Alcisto earned her Doctorate of Clinical Audiology from Washington University in St. Louis. Her capstone project was the creation of test materials in her native language of Ilocano. This study was published in the Philippine Journal of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She remains an editor for this journal.
Dr. Alcisto is currently the Clinical Director/Audiologist at the House Children's Hearing Center which is a world renowned center for the treatment of ear disease and neurological disorders. Dr. Alcisto provides clinical care and management to pediatric patients with cochlear implants. She also participates in research with her primary focus being on the disparity in hearing healthcare in rural California. Dr. Alcisto has had the privilege of participating in global health outreach through mission trips to provide hearing healthcare in Mexico and Nicaragua.
