Caroline Goodson is a Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender and helped create the county-funded Rapid Diversion Program. In her 16 years as a Public Defender, Caroline has helped defend clients charged with Misdemeanor, Juvenile and high profile Felony cases. In 2019, she led efforts to create a collaborative mental health program, with the aim of diverting mentally ill clients from jail into treatment. Under her leadership, the Rapid Diversion Program has expanded to over 7 courthouses in Los Angeles County and has helped divert over 2000 people. Caroline received her B.A. from Emory University and her J.D. from Loyola Law School.
